This is a recently restored, beautiful example of Austin Healey’s most desirable model. The Mark III was known as their last car for the American market and boasted the largest, most powerful inline-6 engine. Alas, emissions regulations killed the 3000 and they became instant classics.
This particular car, #HBJ8L35362, received a full, documented restoration in 2006 by British Motorcorp of Philadelphia, PA, a company known for their dedication to the Austin Healey. Pictures show a clean car prior to disassembly with extensive stripping and refinishing of all metal work. The car was then sprayed in Healey Blue, mated to a matching blue leather interior completed in the correct factory stitch pattern and finished with a Blue top. The engine has been totally rebuilt with correct parts and a correct finish showcased in a detailed engine bay that looks as if it just came off of the assembly line. The car starts right up and runs great.
All interior parts are finished to the highest correct standard, with attention being paid to the smallest details. It truly is a wonderful car.
